Hijackers have two new favourite car colours in South Africa

Over the course of last year and the first half of 2024, security groups and insurers have highlighted that hijackings are on the rise, and bright or unusual colours are no longer a deterrent.

Mid-month data from the Central Energy Fund points to flat fuel prices in August, with a negligible cut on the cards for petrol and a small hike for diesel.
Expect a lot more car specials in South Africa over the next 6 months
With the vehicle market being stifled by elevated interest rates, high car prices, and political uncertainty, dealers will have to start offering enticing incentives to get South Africans to buy cars again.
