 IDA Risk Management (Pty) Ltd was established as a Risk
Management Company to take care of the compliance function of the dealer.
A tailor-made risk management plan was developed for motor dealers whereby a
motor vehicle dealer can operate as a duly authorised representative in terms of
a mandatory agreement under IDA Risk Management’s FSP Licence to render
financial services to its customers.
This also includes the monitoring of legislation compliance such as the
Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, Financial Intelligence Centre
Act, Second Hand Goods Act, National Credit Act, Consumer Protection Act and
SARS (VAT 264).
IDA Risk Management (Pty) Ltd was licensed as a Financial Services Provider in
terms of Section 8 of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 2002
(Act 37 of 2002) on 10 April 2007.
The licence authorises the licencee to carry on business in respect of financial
advisory services as Financial Services Provider in respect of the following
products:
Long Term Insurance: Category A, B, Short Term Insurance: Category Personal
Lines, Commercial Lines, and
Financial intermediary services as Financial Services Provider in respect of the
following products:
Long Term Insurance: Category A, B. Short Term Insurance: Category Personal
Lines. Commercial Lines.
